India Buddhist Monastery Volunteer Program

Rather than a country, India is commonly referred to as a continent. From the icy summits of the Himalayas to the lush greens of Kerala, India possesses an unrivaled diversity of landscapes, cultures, and people. Thanks to its magnificent combination of cultures, spiritual beliefs, festivals, architecture, and landscapes, your memories of India will burn brightly long after you've left its boundaries. India is known for its cultural diversity and size. In the county is the Taj Mahal, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and India's most visited destination. From the stunning Indian Ocean beaches to the snow-capped Himalayas, the central highlands, and the Thar Desert, India has a lot to offer visitors.

Participate in limit-setting exercises and volunteer English language work in Buddhist religious communities in India. Your participation in the program gives you skills that you may use while teaching English to priests. You will also share your experiences and knowledge with the cloister's youngsters. Your main responsibilities will be to teach them and support them with their focus work, sterilization, and other extracurricular activities. In the verified Gurgaon city, you will meet the lifestyle. You'll have a nice time assisting and will devote a large amount of time to the priests' turn of events.

Volunteer’s Roles Responsibilities and Activities

Morning meditation and prayers will be observed or participated in (depending on the monastery's rules). You'll teach English to the monks, assist the monastery's children with their homework, share your abilities with them, and learn about theirs. Inside the monastery, you will assist the monks with their everyday tasks. During the orientation, you will get all of the necessary information. The monastery anticipates your active involvement in the cultural exchange. You will get the opportunity to gain a close glimpse of Buddhist lives and ideals while sharing your talents, stories, and information with them. A member of the local team will provide you with assistance throughout your placement. Your coordinators are ready to help in any manner they can. There is no requirement for prior experience or expertise, and on-site training is available. The project is centered on monks' and children's development and progress. We remind you that the program is not about intervention and that the key to having the most satisfying experience is to be flexible.

Arrival and Orientation

Our personnel will meet you at the Indira Gandhi International Airport and transport you to your community house or host family. The rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy India's hospitality. In a formal atmosphere, you will meet your coordinators and fellow group members. You will learn more about India and your program at the orientation. Later in the holiday, you'll go to India, which is known for its waterfalls and natural beauty.

Accommodation

The shared house may accommodate ten to fifteen people. For group housing, gender-specific dormitory rooms are available in a hostel-style atmosphere. Each group's commander has his or her own sleeping quarters. Wi-Fi is available in the dining and living areas, as well as the toilets. Depending on the magnitude of the event, host families may be offered as an alternative. Upgraded accommodations are available upon request.
